Jacob Slavec, SIOR, is a Principal and the lead Industrial Broker at NAI 1st Valley Commercial Realty in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Over the past 13 years, he has been involved in the leasing and sale of billions of dollars worth of commercial real estate and leased millions of square feet of industrial and office space, representing both institutional and private clients throughout Southern New Mexico and the Borderplex region. Jacob specializes in industrial, office, and investment real estate, advising clients on site selection, acquisitions, dispositions, and development opportunities. He represents both landlords and tenants and has completed transactions with numerous national and regional companies including Amazon, CVS, U.S. Bank, Olam/OFI International, Terracon, AMEC, Franco Whole Foods, Hercules Industries, and FedEx, among many others. In addition to brokerage, Jacob is actively involved in commercial real estate investment and development, working with partners and investors on industrial and mixed-use projects throughout the region. Jacob earned the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) designation, one of the most respected and difficult credentials to achieve in commercial real estate. There are only 28 SIOR designees in the State of New Mexico and approximately 2,800 worldwide, placing him among a select group of top-performing industrial and office specialists globally. He is actively involved in economic development efforts in Southern New Mexico and serves on the board of the NM Border Plex Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA), where he also serves as Treasurer and Executive Board Member.
